Rome, NY (WIBX) - Staley Upper Elementary School in Rome is hosting a community Go Green Night.

Residents are encouraged to bring their unwanted electronics and broken Christmas lights to be recycled tonight from 6 to 8.

Displays, discussions, and demonstrations will be on hand to encourage those attending to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Nearly 20 local businesses and organizations in Rome are participating in the Go Green project and tonight's event hopes to attract more residents and area businesses to get on board.

The event is free and open to the public.
