Giancarlo Stanton shook off the boos from Tuesday's 0-5, five strikeout performance by hitting his first Yankees Stadium home run on Wednesday, a two-run bomb in the first inning to give the Yanks an early 2-1 lead.

Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez would later launch two-run shots of their own to muscle the Pinstripes past Tampa, 7-2, sweeping the two-game series.

Luis Severino (2-0) struck out seven over 7 and 1/3 innings to earn the win. He allowed two runs on five hits. Aroldis Chapman worked a perfect ninth to get in some work in what was a non-save situation.

The Yankees (4-2) stay in the Bronx to begin a four-game series with Baltimore Thursday night (6:35). Masahiro Tanaka (1-0) pitches against the O's Andrew Cashner (0-1).
