New York State Police are still investigating a road rage incident that occurred Wednesday night in the parking lot of the Sylvan Beach Amusement Park.

Officials say, a Dodge Avenger being operated by 39-year-old Kami Burton of Vernon Center and a Dodge Caliber operated by 33-year-old Brittani Davis of Syracuse were both leaving the parking lot when they struck each other.

A verbal altercation ensued and escalated into a physical altercation involving the two drivers and a passenger in the Avenger.

During the incident, Burton and her 16-year-old passenger were sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Davis received a minor injury to her right hand and was taken to Upstate in Syracuse. The investigation is ongoing.

Witnesses are asked to contact State Police.
