The Utica Comets stayed hot with a shootout victory against the Rochester Americans at the Adirondack Bank Center Wednesday night.

It marked the second time this week the Comets and Amerks have gone to a shootout, with Utica winning both. Nikolay Goldobin beat Linus Ullmark in the fourth round of the shootout to win it on Wednesday, it's sixth victory seven games so far in 2018.

Earlierin Wednesday's game, Darren Archibald recorded a goal in what was his 274th career game as a Comet - setting a new franchise mark.

Thatcher Demko stopped 33 of 35 shots to earn the win.

 

The Comets ride their current three game win streak into the weekend with two games on tap: A visit to the slumping Hartford Wolf Pack on Friday (2-8 in last 10 gms), and a Saturday night matchup with the rival Syracuse Crunch.
