Two SUNY Poly students completed a life changing engineering project for a disabled U.S. Army Veteran when they created an adaptive golf club for retired Sgt. Rick Yarosh.

Nicholas Arbour of Herkimer and Adam Peters of New Hartford accepted the challenge to create the club after learning of Sgt. Yarosh's disability and his desire to play golf again.

Yarosh said he had started to lose hope of playing again after trying other adaptive clubs that didn't work, but with this new system he can quickly interchange clubs and he's already hit a few golf balls successfully.

Yarosh said golf is one of his only ways to be competitive and he's excited to be able to play again.
