ONONDAGA, N.Y. (AP) — Police say an SUV driver who fled the scene of a fiery crash that killed three current and former central New York community college students has been arrested.

State police say 30-year-old Anthony Saccone's SUV broadsided a car driven by 19-year-old Baylie Rose early Friday in the town of Onondaga, outside Syracuse.

The car flipped onto its roof, and the SUV briefly caught fire. State police say the collision killed Rose and her two passengers, 18-year-old Michael Walker and 20-year-old Samra Osmanovic.

Police say Saccone fled and later was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated. It's unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.

Walker and Osmanovic were students at Onondaga Community College, while Rose was a former student there.
