ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York officials say swimming at state parks will continue until Sept. 18.

Parks with extended swimming hours include Allegany State Park's Quaker Area and Beaver Island in western New York, Green Lakes State Park and Delta Lake State Park in central New York and Southwick Beach in northern New York.

In the Lake Ontario-Finger Lakes region, swimming will continue at Hamlin Beach and at The Sprayground at Seneca Lake State Park.

It continues at Robert H. Treman and Taughannock Falls in the Southern Tier, at Lake Taghkanic State Park in the Hudson Valley and at Saratoga Spa State Park's Victoria Pool.

On Long Island, swimming is extended at Hither Hills State Park; Jones Beach State Park's Field 6, West Bathhouse Ocean Beach and Central Mall; Robert Moses State Park and Sunken Meadow State Park.
