SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse has added five players to its football roster.

Coach Dino Babers, who signed 15 players to national letters of intent last month, announced Thursday that the newcomers include transfers Trishton Jackson, a wide receiver from Michigan State, and Chattanooga linebacker Zack Lesko, who rejoins the Orange after one year with the Mocs. Both will have to sit one season because of NCAA transfer rules.

Also joining the Orange are three freshmen: long snapper Aaron Bolinsky, of Frackville, Pennsylvania; special teams player Kevin Johnson Jr., of Columbus, New Jersey, the son of former Orange All-American Kevin Johnson; and placekicker/punter Cory Smigel, of North Royalton, Ohio.

All are enrolled and will participate in spring practice, which opens in March.
