Syracuse Women’s Hockey Earns First NCAA Tournament Bid

Some firsts for the women's hockey program at Syracuse University.

The Orange women punched their ticket to the program's first NCAA Tournament by knocking off Robert Morris to capture their first College Hockey America crown last Friday night. Despite their sub-500 record, Syracuse (13-21-3) won the CHA title with a 6-2 victory over Robert Morris.

Up next is the 8-team NCAA Tourney, and a tough road ahead for Cuse. They matchup in the first round with top-seeded Wisconsin (32-4-2) on Saturday afternoon at Labahn Arena in Madison, WI.
