The New York State Inspector General’s Office is faulting the Clinton Correctional Facility for “chronic complacency and systematic failures” that allowed two killers to escape.
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A former New York prison worker who helped two murderers escape from a maximum-security lockup says she played along when they talked about their plan and never intended to pick them up.
David Sweat has been arraigned on three felony counts in connection with his escape from a maximum-security state prison.
The 35-year-old Sweat made a brief appearance August 20 in Clinton County Court.
