Forbes is out with it's annual list of the most valuable franchises. Here's what Jeff Monaski found to be most interesting from the list.

Even after the multi-billion dollar investment announcement that came to Utica and Central New York in 2015, New York has been declared one of the worst states to make a living in today.

Maybe Forbes Magazine didn't get the memo, there's a multi-billion dollar investment coming to Utica as the city's Nanotechnology center will be bustling with two thousand new jobs. Forbes has named Utica as the 3rd worst city in the county in terms of business development and careers.

A couple of weeks ago, Forbes revealed its annual list of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood, with Robert Downey Jr. effortlessly landing the top spot. This week, the publication has released the list of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood, with Jennifer Lawrence taking the number one spot followed by Scarlett Johansson — hardly surprising, but what makes this list interesting is that many of the women on it earn far less than their male counterparts.

This may come as a surprise, but none of the top five highest paid athletes in the world last year play in America's 'Big Four' sports - football, basketball, baseball or hockey.

Of the top five richest on Forbes' list of the World's 100 Highest Paid Athletes come two stars in a sport that saw it's hay day decades ago, and one athlete that most Americans couldn't pick out of a lineup.

Today concluded the first day of standardized testing in New York State for the 2014-2015 academic year and one expert on millenials joined WIBX First News with Keeler to defend the need for standardized testing, if perhaps not the current form of that testing.
