Houston-area media citing unnamed law enforcement officials are reporting that there are fatalities following a shooting at a local high school Friday morning.

Panic and fear gripped another Florida school Friday when a gunman who carried a shotgun in a guitar case opened fire, wounding one student before he was taken into custody on a day planned for a national classroom walkout to protest gun violence, authorities said.

Another wave of student walkouts is expected to disrupt classes Friday at hundreds of schools across the U.S. as young activists press for tougher gun laws.
