SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse police remain at the scene where authorities say a uniformed officer shot and killed a man who fired at him during a traffic stop near Syracuse University.
UPDATE: 02/24/2016 7:40am Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler joined us this morning on WIBX. Of yesterday's press conference he said, "It was a very tough situation...In our rush to respond to things that develop on social media...we have to not lose sight of the fact that we are dealing with human beings here...we have to be careful."
UPDATE: 02/23/2016 4:41am Ryan Lawrence was reported taken into custody overnight. Crews are continuing to search for 21-month old Maddox Lawrence, who was not with abduction suspect Ryan Lawrence at the time.
