Joliet, IL (WIBX) - Mother Nature made the calls during at least one baseball game this season.  The Southern Illinois Miners were leading the Joliet Slammers 7 to 4 after six innings, enough to win the game, when the rain and winds took over the field.

Front office personnel and the grounds crew worked to cover the field.  But the wind soon got to be too much, and as the wind lifted the tarp off the ground the crew struggled to stay out of the fold.

Announcers from WJOL AM1340, Aaron Morse and Greg Talbott, called not only the game but what they are now calling the "Tarpocalypse," happened when the tarp flew before abandoning the soundbooth themselves.
