Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney is urging the Assembly's Democratic Majority to take up her bill that would repeal the governor's NY-SAFE Act.

The legislation will be considered by the Codes Committee on Wednesday.

Tenney says the Safe Act is a violation of Second Amendment rights and has stripped law-abiding citizens of fundamental constitutional freedoms.

Tenney was the first to introduce legislation to fully repeal the SAFE Act in 2013 and has fought against, including voting against SAFE Act funding in three consecutive budgets.

She's encouraging supporters of the Second Amendment to attend the Assembly Codes Committee meeting at 12:30 in room 630 of the Legislative Office Building in Albany.
