Three Vernon Residents Arrested On Burglary Charges

A three-week investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff's Office has led to the arrest of three Vernon residents on burglary charges.

Deputies say 33-year old William Baker IV, 33-year old Brent Schaefer and 35-year old Jennifer Angle broke into a home on Hatalla Road in the Town of Augusta and stole several long guns and one handgun.

They say three of the stolen long guns were recovered, but the handgun and multiple long guns were allegedly exchanged with dealers in Utica for drugs.

Baker, Schaefer and Angle were sent to the Oneida County jail on on $25,000 bail.
