Tractor Trailer Driver Escapes Serious Injury In Route 20 Crash
A tractor-trailer driver escaped serious injury when his rig rolled over on Route 20 in the Town of Bridgewater early Friday morning.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 61- year Joel Reach of Unadilla swerved to avoid hitting a deer.
His tractor trailer left the road, hit a ditch and climbed a steep embankment before rolling over onto its side and coming to rest in a ditch.
Deputies say Reach was hauling an empty milk tanker.
Reach was able to get out of the cab and was not injured. He was ticketed for failing to keep right.
A portion of Route 20 was closed for three hours due to the accident.
