Turning Stone Casino Marks 20th Anniversary
The Oneida Indian Nation is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Turning Stone Resort Casino.
On this day in 1993, the Oneidas signed a gaming compact to open New York's first high stakes casino.
A kick-off event to mark the beginning of the 20th Anniversary Celebration was held today
Former Governor Mario Cuomo appeared in a video tribute with Representative Ray Halbritter, citing the Nation as a model of success.

The Turning Stone Resort draws 4.5 million visitors each year and employs 4,500 people.
A number of special events will be held this summer to celebrate the Resort's 20th anniversary.
