An eight month long investigation by the Madison County Sheriff's Office into the unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine has led to the arrest of two Town of Lincoln residents

53-year old John Hofmeister and 43-year old Jennifer Shaughnessy are facing charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing of meth and unlawful disposal of meth lab material.

Deputies say Hofmeister and Shaughnessy allegedly possessed methamphetamine, meth lab equipment and several plastic bottles containing methamphetamine oils.

They're accused of unlawfully disposing of the meth materials by burning the materials in a barrel behind their home.
