Two people have suffered injuries as a result of a single-motorcycle accident in the Town of Barneveld.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says, deputies responded to the scene on Route 12 North near the Putnam Road Ramp.

Upon arrival, they discovered 55-year-old Charlie Hoff was riding his motorcycle with a passenger when a deer ran out into the roadway.

Hoff attempted to avoid the deer, but struck it head-on.

Hoff was taken to the hospital and evaluated. His female passenger, 54-year-old Nancy Peak was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial in Rochester for head and leg injuries and heart complications.
