Two Local Taverns Ticketed For Violating State Liquor Law

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Two local taverns were ticketed for violating the state Alcoholic and Beverage Control Law. That according to UPD Special Operations Unit, working in conjunction with the New York State Liquor Authority. The joint operation was to conduct compliance checks at 8 taverns within the City of Utica in response to civilian complaints. Officials say the violations issued to Kozar's and the Chatterbox are pending review by the NYS Liquor Authority's Legal Division.

The compliance checks were conducted at the following establishments:

• The Varick, 616 Varick Street
• BLU, 632 Varick Street
• Electric Company, 700 Varick Street
• Nail Creek, 720 Varick Street
• Celtic Harp, 805 Varick Street
• O'Donnell's, 715 Varick Street
• Kozar's, 1000 Sunset Avenue
• The Chatterbox, 239 Genesee Street
