UPD Arrest Suspect After Alleged Pocket Knife Attack

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Officials are reporting the arrest of a suspect who allegedly tried to stab a woman with a pocket knife. The incident occurred after an argument between two sisters and the suspect at the Nice N' Easy on Court Street in Utica. According to the report, 24-year-old Jasmine Edwards of Kemble Street pulled out the knife during the argument, and lunged at one of the victims. Officials say one of them was a store employee.

Edwards is charged with 2nd degree Menacing and 4th degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The suspect will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
