Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Councilmen Jim Zecca and Rocco Giruzzi inspected the flood damage on Roosevelt Avenue in South Utica on Thursday.

Zecca and Giruzzi say the damage that has occured is severe enough to have Mayor Roefaro issue a State of Emergency and request financial aid from the state for homes structurally damaged by the storm.

They''ll also be requestng that the Mayor and Common Council give immediate assistance to the neighborhoods devastated by the flooding in the form of free debris disposal.
