A Utica man was arrested Wednesday after State Police and the Oneida County Drug Task Force executed search warrants at a Prospect Street home.

Police say the searches turned one kilogram of cocaine and 92 grams of heroin as well as a handgun and over $14,000 at the home of 37 year old Torrell Stone.

Stone was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, a class A-1 felony, for possessing over eight ounces of cocaine, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a class D felony, for possessing a handgun and having previously been convicted of a crime.

He was sent to the Oneida County Jail without bail.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges may be filed.
