
Utica Man Sentenced For Heroin Conspiracy
A Utica man has been sentenced to 51 months in prison for his role in a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 53-year old Luis Estela was found guilty after a trial in June.
They say Estela was involved in a heroin trafficking organization operating in Utica and Rome and on multiple occasions, helped the ring package heroin and distribute drugs along the Erie Canal
Estela will also serve a 3-year term of supervised release following his release from prison.
