Utica Man Struck By Car, Seriously Injured

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police are continuing their investigation, following a pedestrian-motor vehicle accident on Route 12 in Utica.

According to police, Vasiliy Pavlyukovlas, 42, of Utica, was traveling southbound on Route 12, near Noyes Street, yesterday afternoon around 4:20 p.m. when the accident happened.

Officials say Pavlyukovlas' truck struck William Schneider, 33, also of Utica, while he was in the crosswalk.

Schneider was taken to Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for his injuries. As of last night, he was listed in critical condition.

Police say no tickets have been issued yet.
