Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Comptroller Michael Cerminaro says last week's mixup that affected a majority of  the city's 300-plus employees who use the Direct Deposit Payroll program is close to being cleared up.

Cerminaro says as of Monday, most of the direct deposit accounts had been rectified and the rest will be resolved shortly.

Last Friday, some city employees with direct deposit had their pay check amounts withdrawn from their accounts instead of deposited.

Cerminaro says the Bank of America and other banks have been very supportive through the  whole processs

He feels that a solution is at hand to avoid a problem like this from happening again.
