Utica Police say a 14-year old who made threats against Notre Dame High School earlier this week does not attend the school.

The juvenile was brought to UPD headquarters by his mother, where he spoke with an investigator from the Juvenile Aid Unit.

The teen admitted to creating the social media account and making the threats.

Police determined that a photo of a handgun that was posted on the social media account was taken off the internet, which was confirmed by the juvenile.

Authorities say it was determined through the investigation that the threats made were not credible and were not capable of being carried out.

The investigation is ongoing and police say the case will proceed through the juvenile court process.
