Utica Rome Unemployment Rate Down In July

The New York State Department of Labor has released local unemployment rates for July.

The unemployment rate in the Utica-Rome area was 5.5% last month, down from 6% in July of last year.

The statewide jobless rate fell from 5.5% to 5.4% in July.  That's the lowest level since July 2008.
