Utica Rome Unemployment Rate Unchanged In April

The Utica-Rome unemployment rate held steady in April.

That's according to the latest numbers released by the New York State Department of Labor.

The unemployment rate in the Utica-Rome area was 5 percent last month, unchanged from April of 2016.

The state's jobless rate also remained unchanged in April at 4.3 percent.

Meanwhile, the state's private sector job count increased by 68,900 in April 2017.
