Utica Uses E-Bay Sales To Bolster City Funds
The City of Utica has found a way to turn old, unused assets into cash.
Common councilwoman Samantha Colosimo-Testa announced today that Utica has managed to earn $24,000 between April and June 2014 by selling outdated equipment on E-Bay.
Colosimo-Testa worked alongside the Oneida County Purchasing Department, who has also used E-Bay as a way to increase revenue.
She says anytime Utica can make more money for the city without increasing taxes, it's a step in the right direction.
