Utica Woman Charged With Arson

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police have charged a Utica woman with arson for allegedly setting fire to her house at 15 Grant Street.

Police say 44-year old Joann Calicchia set her husband's clothes on fire on the front yard at about 4:30 Sunday morning.

They say Calicchia then started a fire on a second-floor porch just over two hours later.

Utica Fire investigators determined the front porch was intentionally set on fire.

The fire left ten people homeless.
