Utica Woman Sentenced In Health Care Fraud Case
A Utica woman has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after being convicted of health care fraud and conspiracy.
43-year old Bonnie Meislen has also been ordered to pay $84,000 in restitution to Medicare.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Meislen was employed as the billing manager for Upstate Pain Medicine, with offices in Utica and Fulton.
She was found guilty in February on 23 counts of health care fraud and one count of conspiring to send false and fraudulent billings to Medicare.
