Utica’s Armadillo Honored

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The New York State Conference of Mayors and Empire State Report magazine have recognized Utica Mayor David Roefaro and the City of Utica for "The Armadillo."

The Armadillo is the Utica Police Department's "crime fighter on wheels" and is part of the city's Nuisance Abatement Program.

The program was awarded First Place in the Public Safety Category of the 24th annual Local Government Achievement Awards.

Roefaro will accept the award tomorrow as part of his regular meeting with the State Conference of Mayors.
