Verizon Unions To Get Back To Work

New York, NY (WIBX) -It's back to work today for 45,000 striking Verizon workers even though no new contract agreement is in place.The two sides have agreed to reduce the number of issues while also setting up a framework for discussion.

Despite sticking points of healthcare and pension costs, the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker have decided to return to work while negotiations continue.

The union workers hit the picket lines on August 7th.
