Warrant Nabs Woman Who Allegedly Punched Girlfriend, Violating Protection Order

Ilion, NY (WIBX) - An Ilion woman was taken into police custody on two outstanding arrest warrants. According to the report, 31-year-old Shannon Arsenault of Kent Boulevard, was wanted by Utica Police for Felony Criminal Contempt, and 2nd Degree Harassment.

Officials say the warrants stem from a domestic incident in Utica on May 13, 2011, after Arsenault was accused of repeatedly punching her girlfriend in the face. They say the assault occurred when the victim had a valid order of protection against the suspect. Arsenault is scheduled to answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
