Westmoreland Woman Arrested for Cashing Forged Checks

An investigation into the cashing of forged checks has led authorities to a suspect.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, the Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested 30-year-old Julia Reschetnikow of Westmoreland.

The arrest stems from an investigation into a complaint where it was reported someone had stolen personal checks from a residence in Westmoreland.

It was discovered Reschetnikow was the person who allegedly stole the checks, forged them, and later cashed them at a local credit union in Whitestown. She's being held at Oneida County Jail pending arraignment.
