The Village of Whitesboro has announced that it will no longer be collecting flood damaged debris for free. Since the flooding this past June left many residents with water damaged trash and debris, most villages have been removing the waste for free.

Whitesboro today announced that its special flood debris pickup for residents impacted by the flood is now complete.

Any flood damaged material left will still be picked up, but residents must first contact the Whitesboro Village Office prior to putting flood damaged trash to the curb. A special pickup will then be scheduled and a bill for removal will be sent through the mail.

Whitesboro officials say any trash rendered non-flood damaged and not located in a flooded zone is the responsibility of the property owner.
