Southern Oneida and Herkimer counties are each under a Winter Weather Advisory through Thursday, but the snow totals and details in each county slightly vary.

The National Weather Service has Southern Oneida County under a Winter Weather Advisory through 7:00 PM Thursday night, with forecast snow accumulations between 3-7 inches and tricky travel conditions.

Meanwhile Southern Herkimer County's Winter Weather Advisory calls for 4-8 inches of snow through 7:00 AM Thursday morning, and travel becoming 'very difficult.'  Additionally, Herkimer County is faced with a Wind Advisory through 8:00 PM Wednesday, with wind gusts of upto 50 mph.

In Onondaga and Madision Counties, a Winter Weather Advisory and a Winter Storm Warning are both in place, with total snow accumulations expected at around 10 inches.

High snow totals are expected in higher elevations.
