Woman Arrested For Concocting False Robbery Incident
Utica, NY (WIBX) - A Utica woman was arrested after an investigation by Police that revealed she lied to them about a robbery she reported.Patricia Slaughter told Police she was robbed of her purse by two black males on December 11th while walking in the area of John and Lansing Street.
Slaughter reported that her purse contained cash and bank cards however, after officials investigated the incident they discovered inconsistencies in her story. Slaughter subsequently admitted to concocting the entire incident and said she did so to get money to pay bills. Police charged her with Making a False Statement and Falsely Reporting an Incident and say more charges are pending.
