RHINEBECK, N.Y. (AP) — A woman is dead after a two-car crash in upstate New York over the weekend.

On Saturday morning, 65-year-old Kathi Norklun crossed over center line and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle while she was traveling east in the town of Rhinebeck around 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office says she suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The occupants of the other vehicle survived the crash with non-life-threatening injuries. The sheriff's office says Norklun wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

The investigation is continuing with assistance from a crash investigation unit.
