Woman Wanted For Purse Theft

Utica, NY (WIBX) - The Utica Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a woman in connection with a stolen purse.

The suspected female is seen in surveillance camera footage talking on a cell phone.

Police say the woman attempted to use a credit card from the stolen purse at BJ's Wholesale Club in North Utica. The woman also allegedly attempted to use the credit card at the One Stop Market at 9060 State Rt. 365 in Stittville.

The UPD describes the woman to be in her 40s and has a long, blond pony-tail to her waist, which was braided at the time of the alleged theft.
