Two workshops will be held next week to address the revitalization of the former Woodhaven and Park Drive Estates in Rome.

They'll take place on Thursday, February 9th from 11:30 to 1:30 and from 5:00 to 7:00 at Mohawk Valley Community College's Rome Campus.

The vacant structures are being demolished and public input is being sought on a vision for redevelopment.

The properties, totaling more than 100 acres, are located between Floyd Avenue and Park Drive.  Demolition of the Park Drive structures is planned for this summer.

The City of Rome has partnered with Mohawk Valley EDGE and the Rome Industrial Development Corporation to begin masterplanning and the environmental review process.
