Xbox Live Down, Service Interruption

The manufacturer of a popular gaming console is confirming that limited service is available on many of its platforms.

Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox on other devices may be experiencing limited availability at this time.  The problem was first reported on the company's website at 5:14pm CST.

A note on Xbox.com reads as follows: "Hey Xbox members, are you having a tough time launching the IGN application, or playing content within the app? We are aware of the issue and working alongside our partner to find a fix ASAP. Thanks for your patience in the meantime! We’ll update you as soon as we have more information."

The company says that it is working with its programming partners to rectify the problem.

It is not yet known what caused the problem or when services will be restored.
