Year Long Investigation Leads To Rape Charges Against Utica Man
A year-long investigation by State Police and the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center has led to the arrest of a Utica man on rape charges.
Police say 46-year old Roger Herne allegedly had sex with a mentally disabled girl under the age of 17. They say the victim gave birth to a child.
The incident happened in March of 2017 in Utica.
Herne is charged with two counts of rape.
The victim was offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
