Zimpher Announces Final Year As SUNY Chancellor

State University of New York Chancellor Nancy Zimpher has announced her final year as SUNY Chancellor.

In a letter to the SUNY Family, Zimpher announced she will step down on June 30th, 2017.  She's been on the job for seven years.

Zimpher has outlined her goals for her final year, which include furthering TeachNY and securing an extension of NYSUNY 2020.

SUNY Board Chairman Carl McCall says a national search for SUNY's next Chancellor will begin soon.
