It might not have happened as fast as some predicted; but, the 2015 Boilermaker Road Race has reached capacity in under 25 hours for only the second time in its 38 year history.

The Wheel Chair race closed out early Saturday afternoon and the 5K and 15K both closed out before 1 p.m. on Sunday.  The quick sell-out began three years ago when the race closed-out in just four days.  Last year's race closed out in under three hours.

Runners who missed out on registration and still wish to run have a few options according to the Boilermaker's Tim Reed.

"They can go to our website and sign-up to be placed on our waiting list which will be used in the event that people have to drop out," said Reed. "Or they can become a part of our Charity Bib program and help us raise money for local charities."  Currently, there are about 100 charity bibs remaining.  Runners in the charity program are required to raise a minimum of $500, unless otherwise noted by the non-profit group.
