80-Year-Old Farmer Dead After Equipment Malfunction

A tragic farming equipment accident has led to the death of a Schuyler man.

New York State Police are investigating the details surrounding the death of 80-year-old Nicholas E. Crescenzo.

The investigation has revealed that Crescenzo was performing maintenance on a farm plow. That plow was being held up by the hydraulic line when it suddenly failed. As a result the plow fell on top of Crescenzo. When State Police arrived he pronounced dead at the scene.

Nick Crescenzo lived on Windfall Road in Schuyler.
