The National Weather Service says the region can pick up a little more measurable snow over the next day or so.

Officials say snow will develop this morning and continue at times into tonight, especially for the Finger Lakes region. Much of the snow will be light, and spread out over a significant amount of time with accumulations ranging from 1 to 3 inches by early Saturday, February 10. Travel, however, could be slick at times due to snow-covered roads.

Forecasters say periods of light, mixed precipitation is expected to continue through Sunday night. There will be a chance of freezing rain, mainly Saturday night and early Sunday, February 11 and again Sunday night.
