New York State Police have made an arrest for aggravated DWI following a traffic stop in the Town of Verona.

In the early morning hours of January 15th, Troopers were patrolling on Route 365 near Hill Road in the town of Verona when they observed a 2014 Infiniti traveling south on Route 365 without taillights illuminated. The vehicle was also swerving into oncoming traffic, forcing an oncoming vehicle to swerve to avoid collision.

He was taken into custody and brought to the Oneida state police barracks, where a breath test determined his Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) was .19%.

Bartula was arraigned in the Verona town court on the charges of alleged DWI, Aggravated DWI with a BAC of .18% or greater and operating without tailights and was remanded to the Oneida County Jail. He will appear in the Town of Verona court on January 24th.
